Grand Theft Auto is undoubtedly one of the biggest gaming franchises. It has proven its chops by releasing an eye-catching trailer for "Heists," which is coming to online version of GTA 5 sometime in early 2015 free of cost.

While the exact date for the release of "Heists" is still unannounced, the trailer provides several clues on the new game. Rockstar Games, the creator of the gaming franchise, announced the trailer via its website. It noted that four players would be added to the online edition of the game.

The four players in "Heists" will be able to plan a big theft, and attempt to pull it off. Polygon states that Heists will feature "five individual" pieces which will result in a grand total of 20 missions spread over 20 hours.

The release of "Heists" has been delayed several times this year. Imran Sarwar, who works as the GTA Online producer and designer, said one of the reasons for the delayed release was that the design phase proved to be much more difficult than it was anticipated, adding that they wanted each member to have a unique role in the team of four. Sarwar said the complex roles for each player resulted in "several months of rewriting and retesting and then our programmers had to do a ton of work to get it to a level we were happy with."

Sarwar explained that unlike Story Mode which allows players to switch characters, in "Heists" all storylines for the four characters had to be made interesting. Even if three characters are going to be in a bank pulling off a robbery, the driver of the getaway vehicle would also see some important action and will also be essential to the story, he explained.
