'Grand Theft Auto Deadline' DLC release date, news and updates: World of 'Tron' comes to 'GTA'

Though Disney's "Tron: Legacy" wasn't a critical success, there's no doubt that the aesthetics and world the movie has created are very distinct, and could be recognized by fans anywhere. Rockstar Games has just released new downloadable content (DLC) for "Grand Theft Auto Online" called "Deadline," and it brings players into the world of the Grid where they can race lightcycles just like in "Tron."
The official description of the DLC is as follows: "Turn the streets of Los Santos into a stylish electronic videogame battle to the death with the latest update to 'GTA Online.' Achieve hyper speed on the futuristic Nagasaki Shotaro and demolish foes with the power of your light trail in the new Adversary Mode, Deadline."
In the DLC, players will get to access the Nagasaki Shotaro motorcycle which can be the stand-in for the "Tron" lightcycles. Players can get the Shotaro first in the "Deadline Adversary Mode," and it will unlock the bike for purchase at Legenday Motorsport.
Shotaro owners will also get a new Nagasaki Logo T-shirt that they can add to their character's wardrobes. Anyone who's interested better get them fast, though, as the T-shirt promo will only be available for a limited time.
As for the rules of "Deadline," the game will require up to four players to go against each other on different colored Shotaros. In the promo clip, players can see that the bikes also have an option to emit temporary light beams that mean an instant explosion for anyone who runs into them. Players can also pick up different boosts in the arena which will let them speed up and slow down time, or hop over their opponents' light beams.
Anyone who's interested in getting the Shotaro bike and playing "Deadline" are now free to do so in "Grand Theft Auto Online."
