The Mad Hatter finally arrives in the upcoming episode of Fox's hit series "Gotham" season 3.

Titled "Mad City: Look Into My Eyes," next week's "Gotham" will introduce hypnotist Jervis Tetch a.k.a. Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel). The show's newest villain arrives in Gotham City to search for his sister, Alice (guest star Naian Gonzalez Norvind), and he will hire Gordon (Ben McKenzie) to help find her. Meanwhile, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) decides to venture in politics as he runs for city mayor. Bruce's doppelganger starts to channel him, which leads to some confusion around town.

A new promo clip has also been released by Fox and by the looks of it, the Mad Hatter will have a significant role in the episode. "... Come out, come out, wherever you are. There's no escaping. This is Gotham, after all," the villainous hypnotist warns at some point in the teaser.

Executive producer Ken Woodruff recently caught up with The Hollywood Reporter, and he mentioned about the Mad Hatter's introduction and how his presence will affect the rest of the characters.

"As we got into the first 11 episodes -- because that's the first half of the season -- we started falling in love with a character that's going to be appearing in episode three," Woodruff said. "We started diving into the character of the Mad Hatter and the actor that we cast ['The Walking Dead's Benedict Samuel], and we wanted to spend more time with him."

Woodruff added that what makes the Mad Hatter more interesting is the idea that he is not the typical villain, who just blows stuff up. "He's a villain who can actually needle into the psyche and the emotional space of our heroes," the EP continued. With the Mad Hatter's introduction, Woodruff admitted that the writers were creatively refueled after finding a big bad who could harness his actions to test and know more about the other characters.

The third season of "Gotham" airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
