'Gotham' season 3 episode 9 spoilers: Gordon and Bullock grow suspicious of Barne; David Mazouz hints more villains to be introduced

The truth will be revealed in the upcoming episode of Fox's hit crime drama "Gotham" season 3.
Titled "Mad City: The Executioner," next week's episode will explore one character's search for answers. According to the official synopsis for episode nine, the murder at Lee and Mario's engagement party leads Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bullock (Donal Logue) to become suspicious of Barnes (Michael Chiklis) as they gather more pieces of evidence from the incident. After a while of not hearing from Isabella (guest star Chelsea Spack), Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) goes to Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) again. Meanwhile, Ivy (Chris Chalk) finally tells Bruce (David Mazouz) and Selina (Camren Bicondova) about her true identity. However, her revelation will lead all of them to trouble.
As fans know, "Gotham" serves as a prequel to the "Batman" franchise. The young Bruce in the series will eventually turn into Batman, but when exactly his transformation will begin remains unclear. Mazouz recently caught up with Assignment X and according to him, Bruce's transition to becoming the masked hero will begin when he starts to physically look like Batman.
"We're in Season 3 right now, and I'm fifteen. So I think it just depends on what I look like," the actor explained. "If I'm twenty and I still look like I'm fifteen, then I don't necessarily have to throw on the cape, but if I'm seventeen and I look like I'm twenty-five – I think it really just depends on what my growth process is and when I start to look like Batman."
Additionally, Mazouz hinted new villains coming to Gotham City as the season progresses, including Killer Croc, Solomon Grundy and the Court of Owls. He also mentioned that aside from having a doppelganger, Bruce will be deeply involved with the Court of Owls. "Season 3, 'Gotham' is going to get darker, 'Gotham' is going to get more scary, 'Gotham' is going to get deeper into what makes it necessary for Batman to exist."
Keep tuning in to "Gotham" season 3 every Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
