Action camera fanatics are certainly waiting for the much-anticipated release of the next GoPro device. According to reports, the company is currently working on the camera, which will eventually be called the Hero 5, and the release date is said to be later this year. Although the company has yet to announce its development, fans are definitely excited to know what is in store for them on the next GoPro Hero 5.

It has been previously announced by Nick Woodman, GoPro CEO, that the company could release the Hero 5 sometime in fall; however, critics and tech observers predicted that the action camera giant will actually roll out the device in October.

The contradicting reports that are coming out regarding the development and the upcoming release of the device are definitely confusing millions of their fans. Nonetheless, GoPro followers are positive that the company will release a much improve action camera anytime soon.

Tech junkies are also expecting an impressive iteration, especially that there are already some companies that are starting to develop their own versions of action cameras. Rumor has it that Hero 5 may support 8K resolution. Although it is highly unlikely, the possibilities are always on the table.

Word in the tech world suggests that if the company fails to deliver the 8K technology, the device will still come with impressive features. According to reports, the next GoPro Hero model will be able to capture 4K videos at 60 frames per second or fps rate. There are also reports suggesting that the company is considering a Qualcomm processor to power the device.

In a report by ValueWalk, it is said that the Hero 5 will also be compatible with another GoPro product, which is their upcoming drone.

Certainly there are a lot to be excited about with regard to what GoPro has in store for their followers. Nonetheless, fans should wait for the company to release an official statement regarding the release of GoPro Hero 5.
