GoPro Hero 5 release date delay, specs rumors: Nick Woodman confirms delay of launch
The GoPro Hero 5 is the most eagerly awaited camera for action enthusiasts in the world, however, it has now been confirmed that the release date for the camera has been delayed. GoPro's very own Nick Woodman has confirmed the push back of the launch date, and that is sure to disappoint fans who were hoping for the next generation GoPro.
Go Pro 5 was previously rumored to hit the market last year; however, in the fourth quarter 2015 earnings conference call recently, Nick Woodman, Go Pro CEO cited that the next action camera release will be late this year.
"Later this year, we will introduce the most connected and convenient GoPro we have ever made, HERO5," Woodman stated.

It may come as a disappointment for many GoPro fanatics around the world, but the company is committed to make sure that their next release would not have the same fate as its predecessor, the GoPro Hero 4. The last release was said to have disappointed in the new features and developments of the device specs, and that in turn provided low volume of sales.
The company has been mum about the details of the upcoming GoPro Hero 5 but that does not stop people from speculating with regard to its specs. Rumor has it that the new action camera will carry an Ambrella H1 System on Chip. If the rumors prove to be true, this will surely make fans happy because it is said to give users the ability to record in 4 resolutions at 60 FPS.
There is also speculation that the new Hero 5 can record videos at a depth of up to 60 meters, which is much higher compared to its predecessor which can only take videos of up to 20 meters.
However, at this point, any specs promoted online are unofficial and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
