GoPro Hero 5 Release Date 2015: Acclaimed Camera to be Launched Next Year?

News about the GoPro Hero 5 is already starting to trickle in. It includes information about a possible launch date which could happen sometime during the winter of 2015.
The GoPro Hero4 Silver and the GoPro Hero4 Black editions were released in September of this year and quickly went on to become bestsellers. In addition to these two, the company also released a budget GoPro HERO.
The GoPro Hero4 Silver and Black Editions got good word-of-mouth reviews from users. Also several reviewers praised the ability of the GoPro Hero4 Black to record 4K videos at the higher frame rate of 30 fps. The GoPro Hero4 Silver even got top marks for its touch screen capability which was not part of the higher priced black edition.
However, several reviewers pointed out that a major difference between the silver and black editions was the frame rate as the silver edition is only able to record videos at a much slower 15 fps.
This slower frame rate could be a thing of the past when the GoPro Hero 5 comes out next year, as the company could hike it to 60 fps and couple it with 4K resolution. Currently the GoPro Hero4 Silver and Black editions only offer high frame rates at lower resolutions. However, many sites are noting that the GoPro Hero 5 could break the mould and offer 8K video capture.
Pricing of the GoPro Hero 5 could be a sore point for many customers when it comes out because the camera traditionally is seen as costly. This could see the company trying to cap the price at $400. However, some sites are noting that pricing won't be a problem if the GoPro Hero 5 has the ability to go up to 60m underwater.
Finally, there are rumors that the GoPro Hero 5 will come with Bluetooth 4.0; hence, it may have fast response time. Others suggest that the camera will have a better battery which will make the camera thicker.
