Google Nexus 7 release date, specs news update: Andromeda OS to debut on tablet?
It appears that October will be a big month for Google as the company is also expected to debut its new hybrid operating system Andromeda on the Google Nexus 7.
The Huawei tablet has not been updated by Google since 2013, and if the reports are to be believed, the software titan has big plans for the device.
According to 9to5google, the Google Nexus 7 will be the first mobile device to don the Andromeda OS. The other is a "convertible" laptop called Pixel 3.

The Andromeda OS is a fusion of the Android mobile operating system and the Chrome software, effectively making them a singular entity. The Google Nexus 7 appears to be one of the devices to test drive it.
The tablet is also expected to keep the Nexus branding as opposed to taking on the new Pixel brand set to be introduced by Google next year.
Huawei will also be back to work on the tablet. Mobile and tech tipster Evan Blass tweeted some specifications to expect on the Google Nexus 7, which includes a 7-inch display and a 4GB of RAM.
This is a massive upgrade over the 2012 version, which has grown dated already. This model only had 1GB of RAM. This year's Google Nexus 7 will definitely see major boost in performance and power.
An across-the-board upgrade is expected as that the old model, which has been discontinued last year, has specs and features that are already behind the times.
A complete makeover for the Google Nexus 7 could be on the table. As per reports, it will offer 64GB of storage expandable to 2TB with a memory card.
The Google Nexus 7 will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor or the Snapdragon 820. Either of the two should still provide enhancement.
The screen will reportedly deliver Quad high-definition (HD) pixel resolution, which will make the Google Nexus 7 the most superior in the visuals department as well.
The Google Nexus 7 is expected to be released Oct. 4.
