Google Nexus 7 2016 release date, specs rumors: Device to be revealed this month?
Google's newest rumored device is the Nexus 7 2016, which has been the subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet. According to the latest report, the upcoming iteration is said to come out at the Google I/O conference, which will happen this month.

The annual event will start on May 18 and will end on May 22. Google will reportedly reveal the new handheld device on the very first day, which will then be released in summer. If rumors prove to be true, it will be an early announcement by the American search engine company who normally unveils devices in October.
The company has yet to confirm the development of the device, much less its release date. They have not released any information that is related to the next iteration; however, several tech publications have already reported its possible specs and features.
According to the reports, Google Nexus 7 2016 will feature the force touch technology that was introduced by Apple in their iPhone 6s smartphone. The impressive specs and features will be headed by the Snapdragon 820 chipset, which has been used by many leading top of the line tech models these days. There are also reports saying that the device may come with NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor; however, it remains to be seen as the company has yet to confirm the rumors.
Meanwhile, there are rumors suggesting that Google tapped HTC to help them manufacture the upcoming iteration. It is said to come in two variants – the 7-inch and 5-inch models. Apart from its superior processor, the device will also come with 4 GB of RAM for maximum usage.
What's interesting about the highly anticipated Google Nexus 7 2016 is its storage capacity. Although it may come out with a low internal storage, there are speculations emerging that it will be expandable to 2 TB via a microSD card.
