Google Nexus 7 2016 release date, specs news latest: Tablet will be launched next month?

Google Nexus 7 2016 has been a one of the favorite subjects of tech rumors over the internet for the last few months. Although the company has yet to provide an official statement with regard to its development and release date, new rumors suggest that the American search engine company will roll out the device next month.

There are speculations suggesting that the new iteration will be launched at the yearly even of Google, the I/O Developer's Conference in May. According to reports, the said device is made possible by the partnership of Google and HTC. Both companies already have history of working together for a project. The device was the Nexus 9 tablet, which was launched in Nov. 2015. The collaboration has brought success to Google as consumers received the device pretty well in the market.

Meanwhile, specs and features of the device have already hit the rumor mill for quite some time now. According to reports, the new Google Nexus 7 2016 will carry a 5.1-inch screen, which is similar to the size of the recently launched HTC 10. There are also speculations suggesting that the new iteration will run on the always reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which is also currently being used by most competitors.

Google is apparently making sure that the device will perform better than its predecessor, so they will opt on giving the upcoming device a bigger RAM at 4 GB for optimal usage. The device is said to come out in two variants – the 32 GB and 64 GB models. Both variants are expandable of up to 2 TB using a microSD. The storage capacity of Google Nexus 7 2016 will surely impress many users once it comes out. If rumors prove to be true, this upcoming device will have more storage space than most of the regular laptops available in the market today.
