Google Nexus 7 2016 release date and specs rumors: Device to be released during the fourth quarter of 2016?

Many fans were disappointed when the rumored Google Nexus 7 2016 did not make an appearance at the recently concluded I/O Conference. Previous reports suggest that the device will come out anytime soon after the event; however, the absence of the device during the yearly conference indicates that the launching could be postponed to a later date.
New reports suggest that Google's flagship device could be revealed during the fourth quarter of 2016. However, these reports have yet to be confirmed by the company. According to The Bit Bag, the company has always launched all the Nexus devices during the month of October and this year could be no different. The publication said that Google will follow the pattern and will immediately release the device soon after it launches.
It was previously hinted by the popular tech leaker Evan Blass that two devices will come out with the latest Android N operating system from Google. Blass named the device as S1 and M1 as claimed by his sources. According to reports, the American Internet search giant is said to be teaming up with the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, HTC, to develop these projects.
Meanwhile, the Nexus device is said to carry a 5-inch display for its mid-range version. The top of the line variant is said to get a 5.5-inch display. However, this report has yet to be confirmed by Google.
Nonetheless, fans have reasons to believe that the company is preparing for something big on their upcoming Nexus releases. There are reports circulating that Google will make sure the Android N OS will be matched with superior specs and features.
Nothing is certain as of the moment. Fans will have to take these reports with a grain of salt until the company decides to make an official statement with regard to the upcoming releases. Stay tuned for more updates about the development of Google Nexus 7 2016.
