Google Nexus 7 2016 news, rumored specs and release date news: Next tablet's fate uncertain after Google and Huawei fallout

It has been quite a while since Google has refreshed its favorited lineup of Nexus tablets, much to its fans' dismay. As many are aware, the company has partnered with top tech players in the industry such as Taiwanese firm ASUS and Chinese electronics behemoth Huawei Technologies in manufacturing this lineup.
Over the years, Google Nexus tablets have ruled the otherwise toughening competition in the segment. Along with Apple Inc.'s iPad offerings, Google's Nexus tablet entries have been more favored as they embody the purest Android spectacle any tablet can offer to its increasingly growing community.
Now, the fate of delivering another entry in the roster hangs in the balance as Huawei executives have reportedly turned down Google's offer to manufacturer its next tablet after the latter has refused to feature the former's logo on its Pixel phones. Ultimately, this may have halted the production of the tablet, which was previously tipped to come before Christmas.
Furthermore, Huawei's vice president of the Consumer Business Group, Colin Giles, has confirmed the speculated fallout, rendering the series' fate uncertain. The Guangdong-based company's refusal can be quite understandable as the firm would not have benefited once the tablet gets released without its logo in it. Huawei currently ranks third among the top manufacturers globally and needs further exposure to keep up with the competition.
While the forthcoming tablet's release date may have already been delayed at the moment due to this unfortunate development, it can otherwise be confirmed that the tablet is still in the works.
Perhaps the most significant rumor the Nexus device was attached to was the inclusion of the Andromeda OS. Google's new OS is deemed to be a combination of the Android platform and Chrome OS. It might be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset, a 4GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 64GB of internal storage.
