Following the revelation of the new Google operating system, the Android Nougat, many fans are now focusing on the upcoming release of the new Google Nexus devices. Several reports have surfaced suggesting that a new smartphone from the American internet search giant will arrive in two variants – the HTC Sailfish and HTC Marlin. The consumer interest is increasing as Google has continued to stay silent with regard to these reports. However, new details about the two smartphones have emerged from a reliable source.

Previous reports suggested that Google has tapped HTC to help them manufacture their new Nexus device, which is also rumored to come out with a pre-installed full version of the highly anticipated Android Nougat. According to reports, the HTC Sailfish will arrive with a smaller 5-inch screen, while the HTC Marlin will sport a bigger display system at 5.5 inches. Tech observers suggest that both devices will share the same specs and features aside from the size of their screen.

In a report by Android Police, the publication has released an interesting render of the two rumored smartphones based on their source.

According to the website, the device will not carry the HTC name. If rumors prove to be true, it will be interesting to see a Nexus smartphone without the name of the maker on it. The render also suggests that the Google Nexus 2016 may not have a "G" logo on its rear.

Many fans are now eager to see the final design of the smartphone. There are speculations saying that Google may want to have a minimalist design on their future releases.

Meanwhile, previous reports were saying that the two Google Nexus smartphones will carry impressive specs and features, which will be headed by a high-end Snapdragon processor by Qualcomm. It will be paired with 4 GB of RAM for maximum usage.

Other features will include an AMOLED display technology and a USB Type-C port.
