'Glee' Season 6 Spoilers, Recap: Mid-Season Premiere Sees Old, New Members

In the final season of "Glee," last Friday's episode saw old members of the glee club and several new ones joining New Directions and planning to compete against the Warblers and Vocal Adrenaline in the sectionals.

Rachel (Lea Michele) returned first after the cancellation of her TV show and when she arrived back in Lima she found out that her dads were contemplating divorce.

She then met Blaine (Darren Criss) who was thrown out of NYADA, broke up with Kurt (Chris Colfer), and rebounded with Karofsky (Max Adler). Sue (Jane Lynch), meanwhile, took over as principal and done away with arts, while Sam (Chord Overstreet) worked as an assistant football coach.

To get over her unhappiness, Rachel went to the superintendent and got the glee club reopened. She then recruited Kurt to work as a co-director with her. He decided to help as part of his NYADA work study.

They then decided to take on the Warblers coached by Blaine and Vocal Adrenaline coached by Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison). Puck (Mark Salling), Quinn (Dianna Agron), Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) , Brittany (Heather Morris), Santana (Naya Rivera) and Artie (Kevin McHale) then returned to the glee club after Rachel convinced them to come back.

However, the members of the glee club could not convince the Tea Party branch in the school to join the club. But this didn't stop the club from recruiting new members.

The first new face is Jane (Samantha Marie Ware), who tried out for the Warblers but did not get in because she is female. She then left Dalton Academy and transferred to McKinley and joined the glee club, prompting Blaine to think that Rachel had poached her.

Roderick (Noah Guthrie), a transfer student who is shy, awkward and friendless in McKinley, was next to join after he sang "Mustang Sally" for his audition. Then Kurt tried to get Spencer (Marshall Williams), a gay football player, to join. But Spencer turned him down.

Spencer likewise rejected Sue's idea that he become her spy in the glee club. Finally eternally optimistic twins Mason (Billy Lewis Jr.) and Madison McCarthy (Laura Dreyfuss) also joined the glee club.
