"Gilmore Girls" is all set to return with a new season after several years of hiatus, and fans can't wait to see what the characters in Stars Hollow have been up to since the show ended in 2007. The show premieres on Netflix less than a year from now, and a new character will be introduced.

"Doctor Who" star Alex Kingston personally confirmed that she will join the show's revival season. During an interview for the Florida SuperCon, the actress shared that she "also got to play a role in the reboot of Gilmore Girls," adding, "I know they've released the information, but I don't know how much we're allowed to talk about. I play a sort of very eccentric character in a couple of those episodes."

Most of the main actors will reprise their respective roles, including David Sutcliffe who portray's Rory's father Christopher. Sutcliffe recently caught up with USA Today about the upcoming series and he revealed a huge spoiler about Rory's romantic life. He was asked who Rory should end up with and he admitted being "partial to Dean."

"I liked all the young actors that played her boyfriends," he explained. "I know they're not going to end up together, but Rory and Dean seem like a good couple." The 47-year-old actor also mentioned that the scripts were impressive but there is still a feeling of anxiety since they will be putting up a show that ended long ago."In the beginning, we were all still trying to find our way," Sutcliffe continued. "This time, there was a lightness on the set, and it made more space for us just to create and it really comes through. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product, and I'm confident the fans are going love it."

For the uninitiated, "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" is a series of four 90-minute episodes that will each shed light on a different season. Filming for the reboot recently wrapped up but Netflix has yet to announce an official release date.
