'Game Of Thrones' Telltale Game Series Release Date: First Episode Of Game Series Coming By End of 2014

In a development that will surely please gamers and fans of the TV series "Game of Thrones," the Imagine Games Network (IGN) has announced that the first episode of Telltale's "Game Of Thrones" series is due for release by year end.
News of the release first came out on Twitter where a community specialist employed by Telltale stated "No specific release date announced yet, but I can confirm that the season is premiering later this year."
Since the announcement concerning the game was first made in December of last year, there has been very little information released about the plot and characters.
However, Telltale has stated that they intend to draw on all the books published in the "A Song Of Ice And Fire" series and even draw inspiration from the "Game Of Thrones" TV series.
Gamers and fans of the TV series have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the game, as the series is currently on hiatus between seasons and the next book in the series "The Winds of Winter" is nowhere near finished.
A major plus point for the game is that Telltale has been working closely with the creator of the books George R.R. Martin, in order to craft a story that meshes with the overall plot in the books.
As for details about the game, IGN notes that the images in the teaser released by Telltale show that House Forrester is going to have a big part to play – even though there is no mention of this house in the books or any characters from it.
IGN speculates that the plot could also involve Stannis Baratheon's journey through the Wolfswood on the way to Winterfell. Also the hashtag "IronfromIce" which is seen in the teaser trailer means that iron either in the form of Ironborn Asha Greyjoy or iron at the Wall will be a major factor in the game.
IGN finally notes that the players could take on the role of people from the House Forrester and act as guides to Stannis Baratheon as he marches through the North.
