For the show's past six seasons, fans of "Game of Thrones," the TV adaptation of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels, have speculated that Jon Snow's (Kit Harrington) biological father is Rhaegar Targaryen. Even though the character has been constantly mentioned throughout the series, Rhaegar has never been shown and it was never directly stated that he is Jon's father. However, things might be different in the upcoming season.

"I See Stars" singer Devin Oliver recently posted a photo of him on Instagram, wherein he had platinum blonde hair that was tied in a bun. The singer was holding a bow as he was standing right across a woman in red. What's got fans of "Game of Thrones" intrigued was his action, which stated, "I may or may not have made an appearance in Game of Thrones season 7."

A Reddit user started a thread about the singer's particular post and expressed that fans will possibly hear Rhaegar sing in the forthcoming season. It wasn't just Oliver's platinum tresses that got fans excited. Another Reddit user clarified that Rhaegar was a good singer. He once sang at Harrenhall which brought Lyanna Stark (Cordelia Hill), Jon's mother and Eddard Stark's (Sean Bean) sister, to tears.

To recap, viewers had a glimpse of the truth behind Jon's parentage when Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) traveled back in time as the three-eyed raven. He was brought to the Tower of Joy, the place where Lyanna gave birth to Jon.

If Jon is Lyanna and Rhaegar's son, then he is an heir to the throne. More importantly, he is Daenerys Targaryen's nephew. Perhaps the Targaryens will form an alliance next season against the new queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

The seventh season of "Game of Thrones" will return to HBO in the summer of 2017.

Watch out for more updates on "Game of Thrones."
