'Game of Thrones' Season 7 release date delay news 2016: Co-creators explain premiere delay; Arya's sword-fighting teacher to return?
HBO's "Game of Thrones" broke records when the sixth season wrapped up with a jaw-dropping finale, and fans can't wait to see how season 7 will play out when the series returns next year.

Season 6 may have left off with a lot of casualties, but it was mostly positive for the remaining members of the Stark family. One of the highlights of the show is Arya's decision to go back to Winterfell after years of trying to survive on her own. The finale saw Arya use her sword-fighting skills again, and it was like a trip down to memory lane for viewers who saw her learn the art from her sword-fighting teacher Syrio Forel back when she was younger.
Syrio was killed off in the first season while trying to protect Arya, but the showrunners have yet to dismiss the fan theories claiming that he and the mysterious Jaqen H'ghar are the same person. Just like the viewers, Syrio's portrayer, Miltos Yerolemou also wants to see his character return to the show by any means. "Of course, I would want to return to 'Game of Thrones'," the actor told Digital Spy. "People always ask me, 'Did he really die?' and the thing is you don't know."
"I don't actually know [whether Syrio died or not] but even if I did, I wouldn't tell you! And that's part of the fun of it - you never know," he added.
Unfortunately, season 7 will arrive at a later date because of weather conditions. During the UFC Unfiltered podcast, co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss explained why production cannot be rushed, saying: "We're starting a bit later because at the end of this season, 'Winter is here'—and that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes anymore. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot."
HBO has yet to announce a premiere date for "Game of Thrones" season 7.
