Rumors about Angela Lansbury's casting in HBO's top-rating fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" recently spread like wildfire, but the veteran actress' publicist was quick to shoot down such claims.

The casting rumor, originally written by German tabloid Bild, first came out during the Labor Day weekend. The publication has a reputation for sensationalism, gossip and inflammatory language but many fans immediately found the report credible. After all, "Game of Thrones" is known to have many award-winning British cast members and Honorary Oscar winner Lansbury was definitely qualified for a spot in the epic drama. According to Entertainment Weekly, the veteran actress' team has confirmed that she won't be making any appearance in the series.

"Harry Potter" actor Jim Broadbent is the most recent addition in the upcoming season. Although it was already confirmed that his character will have a significant role in the story, a definitive description is still being kept under wraps. There are speculations that he will either play the character of a Maester of some sort or a King. Additionally, rumor has it that he will portray the legendary villain Aerys Targaryen, also known as "The Mad King." The said character has previously appeared in brief flashbacks in season 6, but a recasting might be done to further heighten the role.

Meanwhile, production for season 7 is already in its early stages and a new location in Spain has been revealed. A publication known as El Correo recently reported that the show's latest destination in Spain is the Muriola Beach in Barrika. Town mayor Robert Muñoz is said to be "kept in the dark" regarding the specifics of production but the town's people are reportedly excited about the news. Many fans speculate that the scenic beach will serve as a landing point for Daenerys and her massive fleet in Westeros.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 premieres summer 2017.
