'Game of Thrones' season 7 news: Set location revealed; hints at Daenerys story arc

The TV adaptation of George R.R. Martin's best-selling "Game of Thrones" novels is nearly at its end. With only 13 episodes left, fans are scrambling to gather the information to figure out the fate of the show's well-loved characters in the forthcoming season.
Although information about season 7 is sparse, fans of the show have been keeping their eyes and ears open for any possible revelations about the new episodes.
According to Watchers On the Wall, one of the film's new set locations could potentially be the area for the Dragonpit, an old building on a hill in King's Landing. The news outlet pointed out that in the books, the Dragonpit is where the Targaryens used to keep their dragons. An uprising eventually destroyed the place. Hence, when the area is introduced next season, all that is left for the last Targaryen are ruins. The report suggested that the Roman ruins in Santiponce, Seville, could be the site for the Dragonpit.
To recap, season 6 ended with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) teaming up with Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma) and Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg). The two added their fleet to Daenerys' already massive army of Dothraki and Unsullied.
Danaerys will reportedly reach King's Landing in season 7. As to how Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) will react to her arrival, the report did not say. Most likely, everyone will be gearing up for battle.
Meanwhile, according to The Independent, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) might be facing Daenerys and her dragons next season.
As mentioned earlier in this article, an uprising caused the Dragonpit's destruction. Many years before the war of the five kings, it was a one-armed shepherd who led thousands of people in a revolt against Maegor the Cruel. The uprising caused the death of five dragons.
The publication suggested that Martin could be letting history repeat itself in season 7. Jaime, who lost one of his arms, could possibly lead his troops against Daenery's dragons in the coming episodes.
The seventh season of "Game of Thrones" is expected to return towards the end of 2017. It will not follow its usual summer premiere.
