'Game of Thrones' season 7: New leaked image shows 2 major characters finally meeting

A new image from the "Game of Thrones" set in Spain was recently leaked, revealing two major characters finally meeting for the first time.
Originally posted by fan website Watchers on the Wall, the photo shows Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) filming a scene together while on the northern coast of Gaztelugatxe in Basque Country. Obviously, the climate in Spain is very different from the usual cold northern winter Jon endures.
Although details on the two characters' meeting are being kept under wraps, fans speculate that Jon will be traveling south at some point in season 7 to meet Daenerys and possibly become allies with her. Most fans theorize that he will join forces with Daenerys in an effort to overthrow the newly crowned queen of Westeros, Cersei, and later fight against the terrifying White Walkers.
In the season 6 finale, a long-running fan theory called R + L = J was confirmed through Bran's (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) visions and revealed that Jon is the son of Ned Stark's sister Lyanna. It turns out that she died during childbirth while being held captive by the Targaryens. Even though the "R" part has yet to be shown on screen, the timing somehow confirmed that Lyanna conceived her son with Rhaegar Targaryen. Since Jon is a Targaryen, Daenerys is his aunt.
"Game of Thrones" fans were recently left devastated after HBO programming president Casey Bloys announced that the series will end after season 8. However, the network exec also revealed that he is not closing his doors on a possible spinoff of the program.
"We've talked about it. It's not something I'm opposed to but it has to make sense creatively. I'm not sure the guys can wrap their heads around it when they are about to start production," he explained. "We're open to it; the guys aren't opposed to it but there's no concrete plans right now."
The seventh season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" is slated to premiere in April 2017.
