HBO is expected to feature massive battles in the seventh season of "Game of Thrones." Furthermore, the upcoming season is anticipated to show more significant character deaths.

A well-appreciated episode from the latest season was the "Battle of the Bastards." Production cost millions of dollars, according to Enterntainment Weekly. Hundreds of extras had to be called in and at least 70 horses were used in the show. In the upcoming season, fans might be able to see Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) in battle.

Sources said the show sent out casting notices for extras who will appear in season 7. The casting call was distributed in Spain. The production team was looking for the following qualifications: thin, men in good physical conditions for soldiers (preferably with military experience); men with short/medium/long hair; women with long hair; hair color has to be in natural hues (green, blue, pink, etc. will be dismissed); willing to grow or cut facial hair; locals living in Caceres, Spain; no visible tattoos.

The auditions were open to adults aged 18-50. Furthermore, people of all races were welcome. According to reports, the show will need 450 extras for this particular scene.

In an interview with Sophie Turner, who portrays Sansa in the franchise, the actress seemed like she couldn't even fathom the seventh season. She told TVLine at the Emmy red carpet, "I can't even describe this season." She added, "It's gonna be unbelievable."

"When I read the scripts, I nearly fell off my chair. Jaw dropped," she admitted.

In a brief moment at the Emmys, Deadline managed to extract a bit of information about the upcoming season from co-producer D.B. Weiss. He said "It will be bigger and it will be better, but it will also be worse but mostly better."

The TV adaptation of George R.R. Martin's novels recently made Emmy history, after having won more awards than any primetime TV show.

"Game of Thrones" will return to HBO in the summer of 2017.
