'Game of Thrones' Season 6 updates, spoilers: Villain Ramsay Bolton to have a change of heart?
HBO's highly acclaimed series "Game of Thrones" is returning for a sixth season this month and several fans have been waiting to see the surprises in store as a new chapter begins based on George R. R. Martin's original creation. One of the surprising turns of events that fans should not miss this season is the expected change of character of the series' rising merciless villain, Ramsay Bolton. The one who brought up the speculation of Ramsay's possible change of heart is Ramsay's actor himself, Iwan Rheon.
In an interview of Rheon with Entertainment Weekly, he revealed that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will see his character showing a whole new side to his personality.
"I get to do loads of different things and show sides to Ramsay that you haven't seen before," the 30-year old actor said. He also mentioned that his character has been so much demonized especially in Season 5 that his evil ways in Season 6 might level off.
iDigital Times cited an example of Ramsay's possible change to the good side with Jaime Lannister (played by Nikolaj Coster Waldau). The very first season of "Game of Thrones" saw Jaime as a stubborn, cunning, and merciless knight of the Kingsguard who worked in cahoots with his sister Cersei (Lena Headey) and late father Tywin (plated by Charles Dance) for the House of Lannister's own selfish gains. However, as seen by the fans throughout the course of the story, Jaime slowly evolved into a somewhat morally upright character, especially when he tried to save his brother Tyrion from persecution (played by Peter Dinklage) at one point. However, the two characters are changed by different circumstances and it cannot be expected that the same positive change can be seen with Ramsay.
The end of Season 5 for Ramsay and his wife Sansa Stark (played by Sophie Turner) saw the latter escaping from her cruel husband who had brutally molested her on their wedding night. Yibada reported that Ramsay will be reeling from Sansa's escape as there will be no Stark representative standing beside him in front of the people and he will also be left without an heir.
