'Game of Thrones' Season 6 spoilers, plot news: Sansa Stark a new formidable force to claim Iron Throne?
The previous seasons of HBO's hit series "Game of Thrones" were not so kind for Sansa Stark, but the upcoming fifth season may change things for Ned Starks' remaining eldest daughter. Rumors have begun buzzing all over the internet that Sophie Turner's disgraced character will be having a shot at redemption and get back to those who have taken everything away from her. She may even grow too powerful that she can also be seen as a possible claimant to the much-coveted Iron Throne.

Turner revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that her character will finally stand for herself and fight for what is rightfully hers. Sansa will be seen for the first time in the entire run of "Game of Thrones" as a powerful and formidable character.
"This is the season I'm most excited for. Sansa's coming into her own and standing up for herself," the 20-year-old British actress said.
Turner was also seen excited over Sansa's ever-growing fanbase that was enraged because of the horrible events in the character's life. Perhaps the worst thing that happened to Sansa in a "Game of Thrones" fan's recent memory is her brutal rape in the hands of her new psychopath husband, Ramsay Bolton (played by Iwan Rheon). The dark days may be over for Sansa and her fans, as Turner described Season 6 as Sansa's "best season yet."
Even the "Game of Thrones" big heads gave hints of Sansa's rise to power in the upcoming season. As reported in Yibada, writer-producer Bryan Cogman expressed his excitement over Sansa's storyline while "Game of Thrones" showrunner Dan Weiss revealed that Turner has delivered one of the best performances the viewers will witness in Season 6.
According to Vanity Fair, the new "Game of Thrones" Season 6 trailer perfectly depicts Sansa as a newly-empowered character in a "potential Queen in the North" attire and wearing the House of Stark sigil in a particular scene. She is seen overlooking a potentially great battle while swearing her revenge in a voice-over: "It's all I think about... What was taken from me."
Vanity Fair also mentioned the growth of Sansa "from being a pawn to a queen" and her possible reunion with her siblings, Arya (played by Maisie Williams) and Bran Stark (played by Isaac Hempstead Wright).
