Entertainment Weekly reported that the ninth episode titled "Battle of the Bastards" that was already teased by the "Game of Thrones" executive producers will highlight the greatest battle in "Game of Thrones" history. As the title suggests, the episode will show Jon Snow facing the House Bolton led by the Bolton bastard, Ramsay. The previous episode of "Game of Thrones" titled "The Broken" has already shown the steps being taken by Jon, Sansa and Ser Davos to prepare for a great battle against Ramsay army. The initial attempts of the three appeared to be a disappointment, although the mysterious letter sent out by Sansa towards the end of the episode may bring some good news for their cause.
Meanwhile, the season finale is titled "The Winds of Winter," which is also the title of George R. R. Martin's sixth novel for "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series, the source material of HBO's highly popular fantasy TV series. Still, not enough details were provided although it was revealed that the episode will be directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who also directed one episode in Season titled "Hard Home."
