'Game of Thrones' season 6 spoilers news: Sansa's letter may lead to Battle of Winterfell

The previous episode of "Game of Thrones" season 6 has shown the steps being taken by Jon Snow, Sansa Stark and Ser Davos Seaworth to prepare for a great battle against Ramsay Bolton's army. From the day that Sansa escaped from the clutches of her wretched husband, she swore that she would rebuild the house of her family and reclaim Winterfell that has now been seized by the Boltons. The initial attempts of the three appeared to be a disappointment, although the last card drawn by Sansa toward the end of the episode may bring some good news for them.

The seventh episode of the season titled "The Broken Man" featured the return of Sandor "The Hound" Clegane. It appeared that The Hound survived his bloody fight with Brienne of Tarth, and he was rescued by a septon whom he now serves. Also, the episode showed Arya Stark was finally able to prove herself as a worthy follower of The Faceless Man, although she was unexpectedly attacked by the Waif with at least two stabs in her stomach. Luckily, she was able to escape by diving off to a nearby river. Her exact condition is not yet known, though it appears that she is still alive.

Another highlight of Episode 7 is the trio of Jon, Sansa and Davos as they rally their possible allies in the North to defeat the Boltons that has now taken full control of Winterfell. Searching for allies is not an easy thing to do, especially in the face of a great war that will claim countless of lives. They tried to convince the young Lady Mormont to lend them an army to fight Ramsay. Jon wooed her, but the young lady coldy turned down his request. Luckily, Davos was able to talk her through by letting her know about the real enemy of the North: the dead. Defeating the Boltons will be the first step in building a stronger kingdom of the North, and in the end, Lady Mormont gave in to Davos' plea.

Still, the number of men lent by Mormont is not enough to contend with Bolton's large army. For Jon, what they have is enough, but for Sansa, they still need more. This led Sansa to write a letter addressed to an unknown recipient, but it appears that this letter is an official invitation to join the House Stark in a brewing battle.

iDigital Times noted that the letter may be addressed to Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish, the man who has full control of the army of the Vale. "GoT" fans from Reddit forums tried to transcribe Sansa's letter, which the phrases "Now you have a chance to fulfill your ... Knights of the Vale are under your command. Ride for Winterfell ... lend your aid and I shall see you are rewarded" can be read. Sansa initially refused Littlefinger's help to destroy the Frays, but it seems that the Lady Stark is now ready to take other options just to take back what is rightfully hers.
