Fans of HBO's mega-hit series "Game of Thrones" would have noticed the map of Westeros being showed during the show's opening sequence. This fictional map was derived from the universe created by the renowned author George R. R. Martin from his popular book series "A Song of Fire and Ice." Just recently, the person who was in charge of creating the official maps of Martin's original work has revealed that "Game of Thrones" had at times strayed from the canon of the book series.

A Scottish native illustrator, Jonathan Roberts was interviewed recently by Quartz and he provided a few hints regarding some important elements associated with the show. Roberts revealed that he has noticed a number of "continuity errors" in the fictional world of Westeros every time he is tuning in to "Game of Thrones." The person who is also behind "The Land of Ice and Fire" maps said that the show has blatantly moved away from the books' very concept.

"There was a scene of Daenerys with her army, marching to capture another slave city. The army is marching along the coast, and as they march along the coast, the sea is to their right. And I was like, that is impossible. They are going the wrong way! They should be marching in the opposite direction. It irrationally infuriates me," Roberts said.

Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" has formally commenced its sixth episode with a new episode on April 24. The show picked up directly after the events of the last season's intense finale. Viewers also had an idea how Ned Stark's daughter, Arya (Maisie Williams), has been coping with her newly acquired blindness. She was seen holding her own in a fight, but the effects of her disability were showing as she was beaten up easily. As much as the fans fear for her safety, it appears that she will have to continue sparring until she masters her fighting skills even without her eyesight.

"She's learning to fight without her eyesight... It's definitely a skill she will take with her forever, using her ears and not her eyes. That's going to be very beneficial and she'll use to her advantage," Williams told People via Express UK.
