'Game of Thrones' Season 6 news: Kit Harington maintains that Jon Snow is dead

It is to be remembered during the tumultous Season 5 finale of "Game of Thrones" that Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, was stabbed several times by the members of the Night's Watch. The ending sequence of the finale episode has Jon Snow lying in the pool of his own blood, his eyes open and staring blankly into nothingness. While there are many rumors surfacing on the internet regarding Jon Snow's supposed resurrection in the upcoming sixth season of the hit HBO TV series, Kit Harington denied that The Lord Commander will be seen alive in the coming episodes.
"You can't just forget that he's actually died... I had to be a dead body," Harington told the The Sunday Times Culture magazine as reported by The Telegraph.
This is in response to a number of growing rumors that Jon Snow will be seen alive and kicking in Season 6. One of the proof that Ned Stark's bastard son is appearing for the sixth season is that he was photographed in the set of the latest "Game of Thrones" shooting in Northern Ireland. This, for Harington, cannot serve as a proof to say that Jon Snow is alive.
"I had to be a dead body in Northern Ireland," Harington said.
"So there was a certain amount of filming that had to be done... I'm bloody good at playing a dead body. It was some of my best work."
It was also noted by many that Harington is still sporting a long hair look, a requirement that he must meet as long as he is playing Jon Snow as stated in his contract. He just responded by saying that he only liked that kind of hairdo and he "got too attached" to it.
Aside from the sight of a dead Jon Snow, the latest trailer of "Games of Thrones" Season 5 also reveals that Danaerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) was made a slave and Cersei Lannister rose from the ashes after her "walk of shame" with her new re-animated knight, Ser Robert Strong.
The season premiere of "Game of Thrones" will air on April 24.
