Galaxy Note 4 vs Xperia Z3 Review: Comparison of Specs, Features - A Terrific Contest

A comparison between the top-of-the -line Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Sony Xperia Z3 is a terrific contest as both phones are the best that their respective companies have come out with in 2014.

With regards to design, the Galaxy Note 4 is a true phablet at just over six inches in size, while the Xperia Z3 falls right in the middle of the smartphone category at 5.74 inches. Coming to their display their obvious size difference is again visible as the Xperia Z3 has a smaller 5.2-inch screen compared to the larger 5.7 inches of the Galaxy Note 4. In terms of quality the Note 4 has a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and 551 pixels per inch compared to the 1080 x 1920 pixels and 424 pixels per inch on the IPS LCD screen of the Xperia Z3.

As for their processors, the Note 4 has an Exynos Octa core chip along with the Octa core ARM Cortex-A57 and ARM Cortex-A53. The Xperia Z3 has a Qualcomm 801 Snapdragon chip coupled with a Quad core, 2500 MHz Krait 400 CPU. When it comes to RAM both have the same 3 GB version.

With regards to their internal and external memory, the Note 4 comes with 32 GB of internal memory while the Xperia Z3 has 16 GB available. Both have a microSD slot and can accommodate up to 128 GB of external memory.

Comparing their cameras, the Xperia Z3 outshines the Note 4 as it has a better 20 megapixel camera compared to its competitor which has a 16 megapixel version.

As for battery size, the Note 4 comes with a 3220 mAh version while the Xperia Z3 has a 3100 mAh battery.
