The new phablet from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 4 is going to be released on October 17 and customers are already jumping at the chance to pre-order it. Trying to rally preorders and compete with the rush for the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, there are a numer of discounts to be had for the device on preorder.

Here is a roundup of prices and offers that AT&T, Verizon and Sprint are providing to customers. These carriers are offering the Galaxy Note 4 at around $299 when taken on contract and at $800 without a contract.

Meanwhile, Sprint was initially listing the phablet at a slightly higher price of $349 with a contract. However, Sprint has since dropped the price to $299.99 on a two year contract, in order to match the price offered by AT&T and Verizon.

US Cellular, the United States' fifth largest carrier, has also allowed customers to preorder the device and is currently offering it as $299 paired with a two year agreement. US Cellular also has a monthly payment option under which customers shell out $32.09 for twenty-four months and get the phone without any contract.

Gotta Be Mobile however, states that customers might want to skip the preorders if they are buying on a whim, and if they have not researched if the Galaxy Note 4 has the features they need. They recommend the Nexus 6 as it is reportedly coming out soon and its features are comparable with those of the Galaxy Note 4.

Gotta Be Mobile does confirm that the Galaxy Note 4 is a solid device, but advises that people shouldn't commit to preordering it before being able to check out the device fully and comparing it to other devices that are releasing soon.
