Fans may still be hoping for celebrity twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen to make a cameo appearance in "Fuller House" but the cast members certainly don't see it happening in anymore.

Star Jodie Sweetin recently caught up with Entertainment Tonight and she confirmed that the cast members have "given up" on the idea of the Olsens returning. According to Sweetin, the cast and creators tried everything they can to reach out to the twins to no avail. The actress portrayed Stephanie Tanner in the original "Full House" series along with the Olsens who shared the character of Stephanie's younger sister Michelle.

In the reboot's first episode back in February, the show already addressed Michelle's absence by having the Olsen twins' TV dad Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) say: "Well, Michelle sends her love, but she's busy in New York running her fashion empire." Actor/executive producer John Stamos admitted that the real-life reference was his idea, explaining that it was not meant to be a diss in any way.

On another note, popular '80s boy band New Kids on the Block has been confirmed to join the series for a special cameo. According to TV Guide's trusted sources, their appearance will come after Stephanie and Kimmy (Andrea Barber) screws up DJ's (Candace Cameron-Bure) plans for her own birthday. To make up for what they did, the two ladies will get help from DJ's favorite boy band of all time. To boot, a Thanksgiving episode is also underway after the cast members shared photos of them wearing winter clothes. The set was also decorated with Christmas leaves and ribbons which confirm the said episode's theme. Spoiler reports claim that the series will likely debut during the holidays.

Production for "Fuller House" is currently in full swing but Netflix has yet to announce an official premiere date for the top-rating sitcom.
