Spin-off series "Fuller House" has a successful freshman run, and it's just a matter of time till viewers see a second season. The show did not receive 100 percent positive reviews, but it sure was a hit that Netflix renewed the series only six days after the episodes became available on the web.

Executive producer and "Fuller House" actor recently confirmed that the series will return to the small screen sooner than anticipated. "The fans of the show loved the show. They renewed [it] within, like, a day," Stamos told E! News. "They actually sort of put a rush on it. I don't think they've announced the dates, but they're going to be a lot sooner than we released last year's." For the uninitiated, Netflix released the first season February 26 of this year.

The "Grandfathered" star also discussed that the production team works hard to be one step ahead of everything. "Last year we had a very fast prep time to get the scripts and stories done. This year we got ahead of it and I think, out of the 13 I feel like there's already like 10 scripts done," he explained. "The writers are really working hard over there and they're great."

As for new stuff fans should look forward to, Stamos mentioned that there will be surprises for viewers next season. Now that they have a better grasp on how the storyline goes, developing the plot will be a lot easier for season 2. "It's a lot easier this year because we know what the spinoff is now," he admitted. "We know the moves of Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin and Andrea [Barber] and those actors. We saw that people like the two guys that DJ [was dating]. We're adding some fun characters and the legacy cast—that's what they're calling us—we're going to be spread out through the season."

Will there be other familiar faces from the original show? Stamos teased that certain guest stars will surprise fans. "There are a few guest stars that could be surprises for everybody that I'm working on, but as far as the show, we're just in a better place to make a good, solid sitcom now."

Netflix has yet to confirm an official release date for "Fuller House," but it is speculated to arrive sometime this year.
