With the expected return of the "Frozen" sequel, fans of the hit fantasy film will be happy to know that the production is set to begin this month.

According to Economic Times, the "Frozen 2" film production was earlier than expected. Kristen Bell, who voices Princess Anna, said that the follow-up film will start production earlier than what fans had in mind.

"They've just written it and they're still doing tweaks, but I think we should be recording this month. The story is great, and they exude quality," she said. "What I know about that whole team is that they wouldn't just put something out to put it out. That's why it took them so long to even announce that we were doing a second one," the 35--year-old actress added.

Many fan theories are circulating online with regards to how the sequel's storyline will take shape. In a report by The Telegraph, some of the most popular rumors include Elsa finding her true love and Olaf finding a "snow-woman" to fall in love with. There were also rumors of a more powerful Ice Queen who Elsa battles with. A special appearance by Jack Frost is speculated as he probably becomes Elsa's love interest. Despite the internet teeming with possible stories, Disney still keeps the plot a closely guarded secret.

All that is confirmed is the film's creative team, who were the same ones involved in the first "Frozen" film. Keeping their post as writer/directors are Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, with songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Also confirmed to return as voice actors are Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, and Josh Gad as Olaf.

"Frozen 2," the full-length sequel to Frozen (2013), is currently scheduled to premiere on 2018.
