Evangelical pastor Franklin Graham recently suggested that God may strike the White House with lightning for its recent decision to light the White House in rainbow colors in support of the Supreme Court's same-sex marriage ruling.

Graham made his statements in a Facebook post from last week, suggesting that President Barack Obama have extra lightning rods installed at the White House.

"Just three years ago, the president was on record as holding to the biblical definition of marriage. Now he can't say enough about his support for the LGBT agenda — and right after the Supreme Court's decision to legalize same-sex marriage, he had the gall to disgrace the White House by lighting it up with the gay pride rainbow colors to celebrate," wrote Graham.

"This is arrogantly flaunting sinful behavior in the face of Almighty God. My advice? He might want to have some extra lightning rods installed on the roof of the White House," Graham added.

The White House was recently illuminated in rainbow colors to honor the Supreme Court ruling that made same-sex marriage a constitutional right.

Following the ruling, Graham said in an interview with Fox News' Todd Starnes that America should be wary of God's judgment.

"Our nation has a spiritual problem and we need God's forgiveness and we need to repent of our sins and turn from our sins because I do believe that God's judgement will come on this nation," Graham, who oversees the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, told Fox News' Todd Starnes.
