Franklin Graham Says U.S. Must Reform Immigration Policies Following Paris Terror Attack
Evangelical leader Franklin Graham has shared his opinion on the recent Paris, France terror attacks and refugee crisis, arguing that allowing Muslim refugees to enter the U.S. without a vetting process will result in terror attacks on U.S. soil.
Graham made his comments in a recent Facebook posting, saying that the U.S. must reform its immigration policies if it hopes to remain safe from terror attacks, like the one that took place in Paris, France last Friday, killing 129.
"I've said this before, and many people criticized me for saying it. We must reform our immigration policies in the United States. We cannot allow Muslim immigrants to come across our borders unchecked while we are fighting this war on terror. If we continue to allow Muslim immigration, we'll see much more of what happened in Paris — it's on our doorstep," Graham wrote in a recent Facebook posting.
"Our president and our politicians in Washington need to wake up before it's too late. This is not the time to be politically correct," Graham continued.
"Our nation's security is at stake. The future of our children and grandchildren is at stake. We should not allow any political or religious group who want to destroy us and our way of life to immigrate to this country," the evangelical leader and son of Billy Graham added.
President Barack Obama has admonished several states that have refused to take refugees following the Paris attacks, saying that such a refusal is "not American."
"Slamming the door in their faces would be a betrayal of our values," the president added during the G20 economic summit in Antalya, Turkey this week.
