Franklin Graham Blasts Planned Parenthood Video, Says People Who Perform Abortions Have 'No Conscience'
Evangelical pastor Franklin Graham has spoken out against a recent video showing a Planned Parenthood executive discussing the procurement of aborted fetal body parts.
Graham, who heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, took to his Facebook this week to denounce the recent video, secretly filmed by the Center for Medical Progress activist group, that shows Planned Parenthood's senior director of medical research Deborah Nucatola discussing how her organization preserves aborted fetal body parts so they may then be provided to scientists.
"Abortion is a sin and is clearly murder in God's eyes. The people who perform it have no conscience, so I'm not at all surprised that they would be selling organs, tissue, and body parts from babies. Planned Parenthood should be put out of business. They've done enough damage," Graham wrote on Facebook this week.
"Sin has an enormous price. Our nation will one day have to answer to God for the millions of innocent lives taken by abortion, and that applies to every politician who voted for and defended abortion. Thankfully though, no sin is too great for God's forgiveness — even murder," added Graham.
The recent video has received much criticism from those who argue that Nucatola is discussing the sale of fetal body parts, a practice that is illegal under federal law.
Planned Parenthood has defended the video, saying the secretly filmed footage " falsely portrays Planned Parenthood's participation in tissue donation programs that support lifesaving scientific research. Similar false accusations have been put forth by opponents of abortion services for decades."
