'Franklin & Bash' Renewed or Cancelled? Show Ending After Four Seasons
"Franklin & Bash," which aired on TNT at 10/9c on Wednesdays, has been cancelled by the cable channel after ratings fell to an all-time low in the season.
The finale managed to attract around 975,000 viewers, which was still a major drop off from the premiere episode of the season which drew 1.2 million viewers.

The show, which just completed its fourth season, featured two leads -- Mark-Paul Gosselaar as Peter Bash and Breckin Meyer as Jared Franklin. When the series first aired in 2011 it attracted 2.74 million viewers.
Since then viewership has dropped steadily over the seasons. The final nail in the coffin appears to be the .5 rating the show received in the coveted 18-49 adults demo in the current season, after which it did not recover.
This apparently spurred TNT to cancel the show. The decision was made after Kevin Reilly was hired by Turner Broadcasting to run TNT and TBS.
Cinemablend notes that "Franklin & Bash" was seen by around 2 million people in the third season finale. But that number dropped drastically when Season 4 premiered. This could be attributed to the changes in the cast, with the characters Carmen Phillips and Pindar Singh leaving. Singh was played by Kumail Nanjiani who left to join "Silicon Valley" on HBO and was written out in the third season.
TNT released a statement noting that it is "going through a transitional period and tweaking its drama brand and that it would get edgier and louder."
The channel is also predicting that shows in future are going to feature male and female leads. They also noted that TNT has a loyal fan base. Among the shows premiering this season is "The Librarians" which will start on Dec. 7 at 8/7C. It is based on the film of the same name.
