American watch and lifestyle company Fossil recently introduced two fashion-forward smartwatches: the Q Wander and the Q Marshal. Priced at $275 each, both will be available commercially later this year.

The Wander with a 44-mm case has a feminine design, with softer lines, a gold hue and interchangeable leather straps. On the contrary, the Marshal has a rugged case, vintage-style leather straps and a navy blue color. Both are powered by Google's smartwatch platform Android Wear.

According to Fossil, the Q Marshal and Q Wander are compatible with iPhones as well as Android phones. Like its predecessor the Q Founder, the smartwatches offer access to important information like time, calls and alerts and has an "always-on" display technology. Responding to messages from the watch is made easier via voice commands or a simple tap on the screen. Both also boast of having Google Now cards which track "commute info, flights, and timely reminders."

Together with the Q Wander and the Q Marshal's arrival, Motion-a fitness tracker was also released by Fossil. Available at $95 apiece, this is the most affordable option. Not only does it track activities, Motion also enables the wearer to receive notifications easily thanks to LED lights and haptic vibrations.

Emporio Armani, Diesel, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Skagen will be among Fossil's brand lineup by the last quarter of 2016, reports say. Last year, Fossil made waves by acquiring the wearable brand Misfit for $260 million, according to Mashable.

In line with Fossil's innovative and future-forward watches, chief creative officer Jill Elliot mentioned in the company's website, "Customers want to be connected to the world around them and are eager to access information about daily activities, filtered content, and their social networks. The expanded Fossil Q line brings creativity, curiosity and connectivity through smarter watches and trackers that enhance their personal style."
