In preparation for the upcoming 2017 launch of Ubisoft's action game "For Honor," a beta event in Sydney will be held later this month.

Ubisoft, in partnership with IGN, will be having a "For Honor Black Beta" in Sydney, Australia. It will be hosted by "For Honor's" Jason Vandenberghe, and 100 double passes will be given away. The beta testing will be on Monday, Sept. 26 starting at 6:30 p.m. on Oxford Arts Factory. Interested gamers must fill in the form provided by IGN before the RSVPs close on September 22. The media outlet notes that the winners will be notified on September 23 and since it is a strictly 18+ event, attendees will be required to present an ID.

"For Honor" recently concluded its alpha test, which ran from Sept. 15 to 18. PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC players were able to access the previously announced four warriors: Kensei, Orochi, Warden, and Raider—along with the Conqueror and Berserker.

"Each Hero is equipped with a unique set of skills, weapons, armor and fighting styles, as well as a wide library of customization options," Ubisoft explained in a press statement. During the closed alpha, players were also given an in-depth look at the game's "progression system as they unlock new abilities, new weapons and armor, as well as new visual customization possibilities following their fight on the battlefield."

Set during a medieval period, "For Honor" lets players take on the role of  either a Viking, a samurai warrior or a European knight. Players can fight against their opponents using class-specific weapons such as axes, swords, and katana.

Despite putting more focus on the game's multiplayer campaign, Ubisoft will also have a single-player feature. It will center on a character named Apollyon, who apparently played a significant role in sparking the war between samurais, knights and vikings that continued for thousands of years.

"For Honor" will be officially released to the market on Feb. 14, 2017, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
