Fla. Police: George Zimmerman Shot at in Road Rage Incident

Police in Florida are reporting that George Zimmerman was recently shot at during a road rage incident with a man he engaged in a previous road rage incident last year.
Police responded to the alleged shooting in Lake Mary, Florida on Monday at around 1 p.m. The man who called police, Matthew Apperson, is the same gentleman who was engaged in a road rage incident with Zimmerman in 2014.
Media footage from the road rage incident shows a bullet hole in Zimmerman's side windshield. Zimmerman's lawyer, Don West, told News 13 Orlando that his client was almost hit in the head with one of the bullets.
"The man pulled up next to George yelling obscenities at him," West told CNN of the incident, saying that Apperson shot at Zimmerman from his moving car.
Police have also confirmed that Zimmerman was hit in the face with glass and debris from the bullets piercing his vehicle, and he was treated for temporary injuries at Central Florida Regional Hospital before being released.
"He walked normally into the ambulance, so he wasn't being helped or nothing," witness Ricardo Berrare told WESH Orlando. "They actually backed up the ambulance next to his driver side so he could walk into the door."
"At this time, the investigation has proven that George Zimmerman was not the shooter," Lake Mary Police Department spokeswoman Bianca Gillette confirmed to the local media outlet.
Zimmerman was previously the focus of national headlines when he was acquitted of the 2013 shooting and murder of teenager Trayvon Martin.
