Final Fantasy X5 release date rumors and updates: Next installment will be rolled out in September?

Reports are circulating online that the much anticipated release of "Final Fantasy XV" is getting nearer.

According to a report by Gematsu, Square Enix is allegedly planning to launch the next installment of the "Final Fantasy" series on Friday, Sept. 30. The news outlet confirmed that their reliable source was able to gather information from the inside that the Square Enix is planning to make a big announcement.

It is reported that the event will be called "Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV," which will be held on March 30 in Los Angeles, California. Reports also suggest that the game will have a worldwide release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 exactly six months after its launching.

However, Square Enix has not confirmed the rumor as of the moment, which leaves the series fanatics in total limbo.

It has already been announced by the company that the next installment of the series will definitely come out in 2016. Although no further details have been provided with regard to the game and its exact release date, fans still hold on to hope that the company will keep its promise to roll out the game this year.

"Final Fantasy" director, Hajime Tabata, told the Japanese magazine Famitsu last January that this year will certainly be the year for "Final Fantasy XV."

"This year is the year we will release Final Fantasy XV. Currently, we've decided on all of its specifications and the beta version is under production so we can shift into the debug phase," Tabata said. "We'll show the real XV during the release date announcement this March."

It appears that Square Enix is preparing for a big release.

If the company decides to stick to their plan, the rumored September release might just happen. Nevertheless, fans still have to wait for the company's official announcement during this month's event before jumping into conclusions.
