'Final Fantasy 7 Remake' release date, plot news: Title to be released in several full-size games?

Fans can no longer hide their excitement on the latest "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." The game has not come out yet but fans and critics have already built up the hype of the upcoming title. According to its developer Square Enix, the game is not going to have a series of small episodes because the company's plan is to bring the game to players on full-size.
According to Yoshinori Kitase, game producer, the team has developed the remake basing on the game structure of "Final Fantasy 13."
"When the project was first announced, people were confused by its multipart nature, but the goal is to structure it more like "Final Fantasy 13" than an episodic series," Kitase told through Game Informer. "It will essentially be a full-scale game for each part of the multipart series. In XIII, each installment told the story from a different angle. It was kind of like approaching an unknown territory in a sense."
The game producer added, "Whereas with "Final Fantasy 7" Remake, we already have a preexisting story, so it wouldn't really make sense if that isn't encompassed in a multipart series... So if we're just looking at each of these parts, one part should be on par with the scale of one "Final Fantasy 3" game."
Meanwhile, Square Enix has yet to provide specific details with regard to "Final Fantasy 7 Remake's" release date, although many fans believe that the company could release it this year. As of the moment, the developer's main focus is the release of its upcoming 15th installment of the franchise, "Final Fantasy 15," which is scheduled to be released on Sept. 30.
It is said that only then can Square Enix shift their focus to the release of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." What fans can do for now is wait for more official announcements from the company.
