There have been a lot of speculations regarding Square Enix's remake of one of its most successful video fame ever released, "Final Fantasy 7." There have been no official announcement or confirmation from the game developer company itself amid the rumors being spread by fans of the highly popular video game.

One of the biggest rumors about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake stated that the video game was supposed to feature a new footage during the recently concluded 2016 Game Developers Conference (CDC). Unfortunately for those who were expecting a fresh preview, no such video footage was shown during the event. However, as reported in the Yibada website, a new video from Unreal Engine was shown during 2016 CDC where all the new games being played on the game engine were featured. "Final Fantasy 7" remake was one of the video games highlighted from Unreal Engine, along with "Kingdom Hearts 3."

In a report from iDigital Times, it is rumored that the upcoming "Final Fantasy 7" remake will be released in several disc chapters due to the game's huge size. It is most likely to be packaged in three discs by the time the video game is about to be released, which until now has no confirmed date.

Polygon reported "Final Fantasy" game producer Yoshinori Kitase giving a few details through his blog post regarding the video game remake that is expected to be released in succeeding episodes.

"With 'Final Fantasy VII Remake,' we have the opportunity to go beyond the story, world, and experience of 'Final Fantasy VII' in ways we've always dreamed of - from the depths of Midgar to the skies above the Planet. The multi-part format enables us to expand the original story and turn it into an epic experience for fans and new gamers alike," Kitase stated.

As reported by Crossmap, the "Final Fantasy 7" remake has entered Famitsu's Weekly Chart. The list includes all of the top video games voted by the players. The result also has "Final Fantasy 15," "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Persona 5" in the top spots.
