Highly-anticipated film "Fast and Furious 8" will be hitting the screens next year, and new details about the film's production and casting have surfaced

According to Deadline, Clint Eastwood's son Scott is the latest addition to the cast. He will join "Mad Max: Fury" actress Charlize Theron who is a newcomer in the franchise and the film's new villain. Actor Tom Hiddleston admitted in an interview with Rolling Stone  that he is a big fan of the franchise, which fuelled speculations that he might appear in a cameo. He mentioned a story when he was telling someone why he likes the film, saying, "Dwayne Johnson flexes his arm, breaks open his cast and then says, 'Daddy has to go to work' – if you don't love that, I don't know how I can appreciate you as a human being." He will definitely be an interesting addition to the cast, but so far, everything has been just rumors.

As for the production details, new photos were leaked online which points to a possible setting in Iceland and Cuba. Comingsoon.net notes that the filming for "Fast 8" has officially begun, as new reports about scenes being shot in various areas are surfacing online. Filmstarts, a German media outlet, shared some photos including tanks and Lamborghinis while they were shooting in Iceland. Additionally, a video from Yusnaby Post can be seen where a flaming car chase takes place which was reportedly shot in the streets of Havana. On another note, photos of the cast members have not yet leaked, which makes the outlet speculate that the said photos were from the secondary unit photography.

Last February, Vin Diesel shared the release dates for the three installments in the franchise through his Instagram account. "Fast and Furious 8" is set to premiere on April 14, 2016, while the next two films on April 19, 2019 and April 2, 2021 respectively.
