There is more news surfacing on the internet about the ever-growing cast of "Fast and Furious 8." The latest reports have Scott Eastwood signed up for a role in the upcoming action flick to be directed by "Straight Outta Compton's" Felix Gary Gray. Aside from Eastwood, "The Huntsman: Winter's War" star Charlize Theron has also been reported to take on an important role in the film.

The Guardian UK reported that Theron, who played the antagonistic Evil Queen in "Snow White and the Huntsman" and its follow-up movie "The Huntsman: Winter's War," was confirmed to take on another villain role via "Fast and Furious 8." Jason Statham previously played the central villain in "Fast and Furious 7."

Digital Spy reported that while Eastwood's role in "FF8" is not yet confirmed, there are rumors that his character will be a long lost brother of Brian Connor which was recently played by the late Paul Walker. It can be recalled that the news about Walker's death shocked the world after he and his friend died in a fatal car crash in late 2013. His death raised questions about the future of Walker's Brian O'Connor and who will be filling in the huge void left by the actor.

Eastwood's character is rumored to become a new member of Mr. Nobody's team (played by Kurt Russel) and assign new missions to Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) and the rest of "The Fast and the Furious" gang. Eastwood and Walker also look similar in appearance and some fans thought that he could be a good addition to the movie in memory of the late actor. It is also not to mention that the two were known good friends for some time.

On his official Instagram account, Eastwood posted a picture with a caption saying that being a part of the "FF8" is a "dream come true." He added that he has always looked up to the characters of the film series for a long time, and it would be an amazing experience to "learn a thing or two" from them. In his post, he also made tribute to Walker and promised that he will make his close friend proud by doing a good job in the movie."

"Fast and Furious 8" is expected to hit the theaters on April 14, 2017, with much of the previous cast returning that includes Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Jason Statham.
