Fast and Furious 7 Movie Trailer Video: Film Marks Paul Walker's Last Appearance After Death
Super fast cars, death-defying stunts and high-action fist fights – the best scenes in "Furious 7" (formerly titled "Fast and Furious 7") – are captured in the upcoming movie's recently released trailer.
The movie will hit the big screen in April 2015. It is the last film for actor Paul Walker, who plays the role of Jim O'Connor, following his death last year resulting from a high-speed car accident.
The highlights in the trailer include the team jumping out of an airplane in their cars and Walker dangling from a bus while it slowly goes over a cliff and then managing to jump to safety.
The trailer features several international locations where the film was shot including Abu Dhabi. It also includes scenes featuring new cast members Kurt Russell and Tony Jaa.
"Furious 7" pits Ian Shaw (played by Jason Statham) against Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his Toretto's team of expert car racers. Dwayne Johnson will again be playing the part of Luke Hobbs. He joins series regulars including Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.
Walker died in November 2013 when he was on a break for Thanksgiving. At that time, the filming of "Furious 7" was already half-finished. Following his death, production was stalled by Universal Studios and only resumed in April of this year. Paul's brothers Cody and Caleb, who look very much like him, stepped in as body doubles in some scenes.
The Hollywood Reporter first reported in January of this year that Director James Wan and writers Chris Morgan and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum, were altering the script so that Paul's completed scenes could still be used in the first part of the film. The script then justifies his absence in the remaining part by retiring him from the team.
The film franchise started with "The Fast and the Furious" in 2001 and has since become immensely popular.
