'Fast 8' news, updates: Ramsey is back, filming takes place in Cleveland

The production of the upcoming action thriller sequel "Fast 8" is already in full spring as several news sources report filming in some parts of the Northern American continent. Just recently, the production team of the latest "Fast and Furious" sequel was seen filming a car action sequence in Cleveland. Also, a "Fast and Furious" star teased through social media about the return of a familiar face in the upcoming movie.
Entertainment Weekly reported that the charming and tech savvy ally of the Furious team in the previous installment, Ramsey. The news broke out that Nathalie Emanuel, the actress who played the sexy but intelligent cybersecurity hacker is going back for another adventure in "Fast 8." Vin Diesel was the one who spilled the news about the return of the character in the next movie by posting his picture together with Emanuel on Instagram.
Before she became an elite hacker in "Fast and Furious 7," Emanuel first appeared in the popular HBO fantasy TV series "Game of Thrones." She became popular in the show by portraying the role of Missandei.
Meanwhile, people at a local area in Cleveland noticed some cars and filming equipment being prepared in the location. Cleveland News 19 website reported that the "Fast 8" team were seen setting up the necessary equipment as they were about to film exciting and suspenseful car action sequences in the area. A few streets were blocked during the preparation in the morning of May 11 while the buses were re-routed to avoid any problems during the shooting.
It was first reported that the shooting of the major scenes will commence in Cuba this summer, Mail Online reported. The eighth "Fast and Furious" entry will star Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson. It was also reported that Scott Eastwood will play a special role in the movie, while "The Huntsman: A Winter's War" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" star Charlize Theron signed up to play the villainess of "Fast 8."
