'Fantastic Beasts 2' plot rumors, latest news: Plot of 'Fantastic Beasts' sequel accidentally leaked on IMDB?

Avid "Harry Potter" fans may have just learned the plot details of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2."
Now corrected and attributed as a premature error, IMDB previously published on their website a short plot summary for "Fantastic Beasts 2." The summary was only two sentences long, but the online site quickly replaced the synopsis of the "Fantastic Beasts" sequel to a vaguer single-sentence overview.
However, Potterheads in The Leaky Cauldron fan site were able to save the information before IMDB's permanent deletion.
According to the prior IMDB synopsis, "Fantastic Beasts 2" will be set two years after the events of the first movie and will be taking place in London. Newt Scamander has finally become the published author he always dreamed of, but he is also struggling with breaking his emotional ties with Leta Lestrange once and for all.
His attempt to move on is proven difficult when Leta keeps turning up when he least expects it and insists on talking to him. Unable to avoid her for much longer, Newt eventually hears her out and finds out that she isn't attempting to win him back. Instead, she tells him that Albus Dumbledore sent her to track him down because he requires Newt's assistance in defeating Gellert Grindelwald once and for all.
Readers of J.K. Rowling's seventh book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," may recall that Dumbledore and Grindelwald were once friends. However, as they continued to walk different paths in life, with Grindelwald taking the darker one, many in the wizarding world have clamored for Dumbledore's intervention and for him to finally confront his old friend.
Should the leaked plot prove to be true, there are speculations that Dumbledore will solicit help from Newt in other to learn more about Obscurials. With the rumors that Dumbledore's sister Ariana may have been an Obscurial, it would be rational for the powerful and legendary wizard to seek out someone like Newt who has experience in extracting and maintaining the life of a pure Obscurus without a host.
The sequel to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is scheduled to premiere in late 2018.
