Fallout 4 News, Release Date, Characters: 'Biggest, Best' Fallout 4 to Thrill Fans

The good news is that video game developer Bethesda has vowed that Fallout 4 will be its "biggest and best work yet."

But the no-so-good news is that fans will have to wait until the Fall of 2015 before they can get hold of one of the most popular and addictive role-playing games on Earth.

Bethesda has confirmed that they are working on Fallout 4, saying they want to create the game slowly but surely to make it as perfect as possible.

"This is not something we're going to do once and then go away and never do it again," Bethesda's vice president of PR Pete Hines said.

Sources said they believe that Bethesda is working on a new engine for Fallout 4 to further enhance its performance.

The Fallout video game takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting where the main character has the choice of exploring the open world or following through the storyline and other quest lines. The main character uses a variety of guns and other weapons to fight bandits and thieves who pose varying levels of obstacles along his journey.

A new character is expected to be introduced in Fallout 4. "Something certainly new will be introduced once the new game comes out... definitely a new character," a source said as quoted by kdramastars.com.

Fallout 4 will be playable on PS4, Xbox One and PS3. However, the release for Xbox 360 is not yet certain at the moment.

A source (Reddit user GNR_Informant) disclosed that Fallout 4 is already in production for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

According to the source, Fallout 4 will have Boston as its setting, and will be a direct sequel to Fallout 3 "with a few groups returning."

"From what it sounds like, 'The Institute' is pretty much the downtown DC or New Vegas of this game. Boston is going to be unlike anything we've seen in a Fallout game before, with buildings more on par with cyberpunk and retro-futurism," he said.

"Androids play a big part in this game. The railroad from Fallout 3 is a faction. The enemy of the railroad is 'the Plantation' -- a group that forces Androids to farm so that Humans can get food. The Institute is highly advanced and probably obtained or built their own GECK to start a farm," Reddit user GNR_Informant said.

"Due to complaints about using Super Mutants and the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3 excessively and going against the lore too much, Bethesda has decided to avoid using these groups. Bethesda wants to make a new 'race' (possibly Ghoul or Super Mutant) which will be central to Boston. Bethesda is currently looking at Lovecraftian fiction since Boston is around Lovecraft Country," he continued.

"Bethesda has no plans to reinvent the leveling up system to make it more like Skyrim and want to make Fallout 4 more distinct from Skyrim since there have been complaints that Oblivion and Fallout 3 were too similar. Bethesda is thinking about introducing a system, similar to Skyrim, where your skills can level up if you perform certain tasks," he revealed further.

Meanwhile, a huge fan of the Fallout series has developed an unofficial trailer for Fallout 4. It has riveted the attention of many fans, some of whom believe at first that this was the official trailer for Fallout 4.

The creator clearly mentions at the beginning of the trailer that he made it himself with no link to Bethesda whatsoever. He also said that the information he is sharing is not necessarily true.

Despite the fact that this is not really the official trailer of Fallout 4, it has amused a lot of fans in the gaming world who expect the real thing soon.
