'Fallout 4' DLC release date news latest: Redesigned 'Survival Mode' arriving in PS4 this May
Bethesda Softworks has a lot in store for the players of "Fallout 4" in the coming weeks and months. One of the major changes that can be expected from the popular action role-playing game (ARPG) is the makeover of the survival mode that will be available in the forthcoming Fallout 4 game update later this month. Aside from a newly remodeled game mode, the upcoming new DLC pack for the video game plus other exciting extras can also be expected in May.
The refurbished "Survival Mode" will be included in the Fallout 4 Update 1.5 to be released in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles this month. The game developer company behind the Fallout franchise did not relay much detailed information regarding the new features of "Survival Mode" or the exact arrival date of Update 1.5, although Express UK reported that more specifics are likely to be released by Bethesda next week.
On the other hand, the latest DLC pack of Fallout 4 called "Far Harbor" is scheduled to be released also in May. The new expansion pack is packed with new game quests, equipments, armors, maps, and dungeons. Fallout 4 game director Todd Howard revealed that "Far Harbor" could still undergo a few changes before the launching of the final version of the content pack, news website Yibada reported. The reception to the previous DLC pack releases of the video game will be considered to make "Far Harbor" an appealing addition for the players. It was also reported that the latest DLC expansion set will have a file size of 2.69 GB upon download. "Far Harbor" can be purchased later this month with a retail price of $24.99.
The new trailer for the Fallout 4 update was released, and according to the same report from Yibada, the anticipated "Creation Kit Mods" will be released this month for PS4 and Xbox One. It was previously stated by Bethesda that they will offer new modding tools for the players for them to create their own personalized armors and weapons. The new Fallout 4 Creation Kit Mods will be available in the open beta gameplay in PC game version this week. VG 24/7 reported that the Creation Kit can be downloaded from the Bethesda website, where the players can make discussions about the pre-existing items and new modding tools, where the company can use the feedbacks from the players to further improve the mods.
